As a film fan myself, this movie really doesn't look good IMO. Sorry, but I hate when people blow things out of the water when they should stay floating.

What makes it look bad? All the trailers I've seen make it look awesome, like a comic book or Graphic Novel

What makes you think it's good? It has an overrated, mediocre actor that's not funny trying to settle disputes with his girlfriends's old relations. Nothing cool.

Just because Micheal Cera is in it doesn't mean it's a bad movie. I do agree that he's not the best actor but this is the first movie that he does very well in.

He's not just trying to "settle disputes" but if he wants Romona to be his girlfriend he must fight each of Romona's ex-boyfriends, which have banded together to control her future love life. Also, it's much more than that. The book series involves lots of video game and comic related jokes. The editing of the movie makes it look a lot like a comic book with screens splitting apart like they do in comics, words materialized in the air, bright colors, and crazy battles. If you like games and have a sense of humor, you'll love the movie. tongue

And, how could you not like the trailer! surprised

Seriously TR, you make it sound like a stupid teen movie srarring Twilight boy and Zac Effron when you put it like that. It's much more than that, like Zonified said.

Different Topic: How are the books? I'm wanting to go to Books-A-Million after I go see the movie and pick a few of them up. They aren't to mature like other graphic novels are they?

Don't go to Books-A-Million. Buy them online. I was tricked into thinking it would be about $6 in store but it's really $11. If you get them online, they're much cheaper. But, yeah, it's a great series. All of the game related jokes and stuff are hilarious. And, no, they aren't bloody or anything like that. They're rated "T" so they're like a PG-13 movie.

Exactly, if you go into the movie expecting stupid fun, you'll love it (I'm guessing), but if you expect a realistic story, you'll be dissapointed

@Killerky: For a while, but it's mostly Manga/anime/graphic novels/ comics/ etc. Probably so parent's will know which Hulk book is ok for kids.

Hey Zoni, I picked up volume 1 and 2 today. I'm on chapter 5 for volume 1. What do I think of the books?
