| Originally on the official Ratchet and Clank Forums, Zoni's Zone has been a place where I share some of my R&C inspired artwork, weapons, gadgets, and other things. I've even made an OmniWrench 3000 replica and am now working on a Plasma Coil replica! So, let's start off the new Starship Phoenix Zoni's Zone with some old art. *thanks to TOY_ROBOT for the new logo* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gallery -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Armory -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Characters and Creatures -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Environments -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OmniWrench 3000 replica First you will need a few things- pencil/pen scissors x-acto knife scotch tape duck tape (comes later) cardboard 3 paper towel tubes ruler Once you have all of the things that you need, take 2 of the 3 paper towel tubes and cut one of those in half. Don't cut the whole thing in half though, cut only half of it so as to roll it into a thinner cilinder (I hope his makes sence). Take the "cut in half tube" and place it inside the other tube. Once inserted, it should look like this: Now tape the "cut in half tube" so it will stay together. Tape them both together now so they won't seperate later on. After that, take the last tube (the one that hasn't been touched) and cut a hole in the middle of it so the end of the "cut in half but now taped tube" will fit somewhat tightly in it. To give it more stability, put some peices of cardboard inside the "2 taped together tubes" so it won't calapse on itself when you hold it tightly. If you want, you can also do this to the tube that has a hole in it. Just be sure to measure the right length on both sides and make enough peices for both sides. Next, cut some cardboard to make into a box that will go around the area that the tubes are connected. Once done, cut out the shape of the outer handle of the wrench. Cut it to your best judgement. Now take those peices and make a 3-D object out of them using other peices of cardboard. You'll need to measure, draw, and cut these peices on the cardboard itself. After you have made the outer handle, place it on the wrench handle and tape it together so it will not seperate later on. Now is the time to start the wrench head. Make a 7 inch by 2 inch rectangle (3x) and one 6 inch by 2 inch rectangle. Take 2 of the "7 by 2" and cut a half-inch off each side of both of them so they will have an angle that goes down to the 7 inch bottom. Cut a hole in the middle of the other "7 by 2" and place that on the wrench. It should go at the top (in picture).once that is done, take the other pecies and tape those like so: Make some measurments and cover the holes that are showing. It should now look like this: Now the last side. Cut out an 8 inch by 2 inch rectangle. Take that and cut a hole in the middle and place it on the wrench like the other side. Make some more measurments if needed and use your best judgement to make a flat surface at the bottom. After this is done, Make some more measurments and judgement if needed to make it look some what like this: Close off the other side. You are now done. OPTIONAL: If you want to add that fin like thing that is on the curved wrench head draw the shape of it on the cardboard, cut it out, and tape it to the wrench head. Your wrench should now look somewhat like this: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you want to make a wrench but are confussed with how to do it, send me a PM and I'll try to explain as best as I can. NOTICE: On most of this project, I used my best judgment to figure out the dimensions. If you are making a wrench model using these instuctions, you will also need to use your best judgment. And a ruler. And a pencil. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll add descriptions later.
