Did anyone else feel that the Fongoids were slightly over used in this game?
Don't get me wrong, they were probably my second favourite new species that were added to the game, but for a species that were never used in any of the other games, they sure showed up a lot in this one.

Mostly because Ratchet needed to travel to the planets inhabited by the Fongoids. Since Fongoids worshiped the Zoni. And that was the only way for Ratchet to find Clank.

Yeah, I could have done without them so much. But, they fit with the story so it isn't a big deal. ACIT really needed more levels IMO.

I agree. The Fongoids, while important, seemed over used and I started to get tired of seeing them. And, yes, ACIT definitely needed more levels.

What annoyed me the most about them was that their voices got tiresome after a while...

I suppose if there were more planets, the Fongoids wouldn't seem as crammed into the game.

Insomniac couldn't make bigger levels because they used up most of the space on the blu-ray disc with the space exploration.

Funny, the Fongoid levels were my favourite in the game... Weren't there only three fongoid levels? Three is the key for narrative/thematic repetition. The dullards I found uninspiring, yet they were everywhere!

I think what was annoying was that all of the Fongoids' environments were designed pretty much the same. Now, if one tribe of Fongoids lived in a volcano, then it wouldn't be so bad. wink
