AZCentral Talks PlayStation Move Heroes With Nihilistic Software.
By Dark__Gamer

Nihilistic Software, the developers of the upcoming PlayStation Move game PlayStation Move Heroes recently sat down with AZCentral and answered a few questions about what there goals for the game are, and what they want us, the fans to experience with the title. To keep thing that have been copy and pasted I've decided it would be best to give you a glimpse at the first few questions then link you to the rest of the Q&A.

Question: Talk about the overall vision for the game.

Answer: The goal for us has always been to bring the game off of the screen and into the players' hands. We want people to really feel like Ratchet or Bentley as they whip, shoot, and steer their way through the challenges we've presented. We hope gamers, both experienced and new, will enjoy this new way of using the characters' weapons and abilities.

Q: What was it like to work with characters?

A: It was both exciting and challenging. It's exciting because these guys are legends in and of themselves, and challenging for the same reason, actually.

For example, taking Sly from a cell-shaded character to a fully three dimensional PS3 quality character took enormous care.

Fortunately, we had help from Naughty Dog, Insomniac, and Sucker Punch. All three of the original studios were very generous with their expertise, providing renders and assets that were key to capturing the spirit of all of the characters and environments in this game.

Q: How will the game's cooperative play work?

A: The game includes two-player local co-op gameplay. When we started thinking about Team Play, we wanted to give players an opportunity to play together in matched pairs.

So each primary character can be joined by his buddy in any challenge. The second player can do a variety of things, all using an additional PlayStation Move motion controller.

One other feature of Team Play that we're very excited about is the Team Strike. When the co-op team touches their motion controller sphere together, they trigger a massive explosion that basically wipes out everything on screen. It's a fun way to maximize your score on any challenge and the player cooperation is necessary in order to use that team strike at just the right time. It's pretty fun to watch too.
