By Captain_QwarkHello, everyone! Copernicus Leslie Qwark here. Perhaps you've been wondering where I've been for these past few months? I mean, really... Qwark doesn't just drop off the map without reason, right? Besides being busy as usual with my heroic exploits and deeds (Saving orphans, helping old ladies across the street, winning the pie eating contest on Kerwan, etc, etc, etc...), I've been hard at work helping my Administrator pals with the all new Starship Phoenix!
The new Phoenix has groovy downloads , rad contests, and a totally new, psychedelic design to keep your funky heart boogieing! Now that's what I'm talking about, brothas!
Was that a little overdoing it? Okay, maybe I went a bit overboard... But, we really do think you'll love it! Here's a nifty little list of specific things to look out for:
- Simple navigation! The menu is now located at the top, using less space. Also, each page is a hub of sorts to direct you to other parts of the site.
- You've probably noticed the Search bar on top, no? It's in a convenient spot to make your life simpler, and believe us, we know that simpler is better!
- Contests! We have some great goodies to give away, so here's your chance to snag some swag!
- The all-new ad billboard located to the right is a convenient visual aid to remind you of all the neat things we have to offer here!
- Just under the ad billboard is everyone's favorite space radio station! Deep Space Jams returns to keep this placed jazzed up!
- All future InfoBot issues will be posted in the Blog section of the site. This allows us more freedom of customization to make them even better.
- The Vendor is making its return after a small absence! With all new content (Including a new Starship Phoenix PS3 theme!), the Downloads section is better than ever!
- The Games section! We've been wanting to offer info on all the Ratchet games for a while, so this seemed like a perfect opportunity to do so. This section breaks down every Ratchet & Clank title (Including spin-offs and other media!) into a specific category and offers simple synopses, stats, and screenshots!
- News on the Phoenix has also changed. Now located in the Media section, long articles will no longer clutter up the home page and cause annoying load times! Also, all articles will now be written by our staff.
- Have an issue? Well, the HelpDesk has now been improved! This section offers all you need to get on your feet!
- The Forum has also gone through a bit of a redesign. Nothing major besides the obvious color changes, though, so it should feel nice and familiar.
- Introducing the new SP logo! It has a great, retro flair to it and and is a much better design overall.
- JakandDaxterDude is now officially an Administrator! Welcome to the team, pal!
Well, I think that's just about it. Of course there are a few kinks and things we need to work out, and to aid in that, we ask you to head on over to the All-New Starship Phoenix Discussion thread in the Forum to inform us of the things you'd like to see changed or fixed.
So, while you all are fooling around here, I'll be off doing some manly, hero stuff. The spa is calling my name! But don't worry, I'll be popping in every once in a while to make sure the situation is stable. Yep, keeping things A-Oh-Q if you know what I'm saying.
